River Fire Donation Hub

This website contains links to resources for River Fire Survivors.

Fire Survivors – basic hygiene items, blankets, pillows, nonperishable foods, school supplies/backpacks, pet food, and gift cards/other assistance are available for you at the Auburn Odd Fellows Lodge #7 at 1226 Lincoln Way until 6 PM on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. No one is being turned away – however, it will help our process if you can bring some form of identification/proof of residency. We want to make sure these items go to those who need them.

Donations will be transferred to the Soroptimists of Colfax at the Sierra Vista Community Center at 55 N. School Street in Colfax on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. This location will be open for donations and pick-up from 12-6 on Wednesday, and 10-6 Thursday, August 12 – Saturday, August 14. Contact the Soroptimists or City of Colfax directly about donations for this site – River Fire Donation Hub will not be involved with coordinating information/donations/pick-ups for this site per Mayor “Pro-Tem” Trinity Burruss and City Council’s direction that only existing nonprofits should be involved in the effort in Colfax.

If you have lost your home or were evacuated and need immediate assistance with procuring donated items and gas/grocery/hotel gift cards/monetary support, please contact the Odd Fellows Lodge in Auburn until August 10, and the Soroptimists of Colfax beginning August 11.

Clothing can be picked up at Second Chance Treasures at 1462 Canal St. in Auburn. Please contact the owner, Terri, directly – she will arrange a private time for you to come and pick out what you need.

If you’d like us to list your GoFundMe pages or Amazon/other wishlists, please email us the links at riverfiredonationhub@gmail.com.

A list of resources has been compiled for you, and is posted in the Resources page.

Note: Second Chance Treasures is no longer accepting clothing donations as of 1 PM Tuesday, August 10, 2021, as they have received enough. Please contact the donation distribution site and the Soroptimists directly if you have questions regarding what they are accepting.

If you would like to volunteer, please reach out to certified nonprofits per the direction of Colfax City Council. River Fire Donation Hub will no longer coordinate any volunteer work/connect volunteers with potential organizations in need of volunteers per town leadership’s desires.

If you’d like a fundraising event or event benefitting fire survivors to be listed on the website, send me an email with the information and any pertinent links.
